An awesome time was had by all when Snowcentral staff visited Brisbane’s first and only indoor snow sports centre, Urban Xtreme. Urban Xtreme is an adventure playground for young and old, not only as Queensland’s first indoor ski and snowboard facility but also many other activities such as one of the largest indoor laser tag facility in Queensland and a huge 500m2 trampoline facility. The climbing facility, adventure play-land and the ninja warrior course is in the process of being built.
Upon entering the ski and snowboard slope platform area we met our instructor who had multiple seasons of ski and snowboard instructing experience, so we were in safe hands.
Once the ski boots were clicked into the skis, we were off!! With the security of a safety bar in front, and three of us on the slope at one time, we all had plenty of room and space. By the third go, the beginners were well on their way to skiing and imagining hitting the groomed slopes of a ski resort. Of course, the snow provides a softer surface and naturally more space, however, Urban Xtreme’s ski and snowboard slope provides a fantastic experience for first timers or for those wanting further instruction to expand their skills. Snowcentral highly recommends a visit!
There is something for everyone at Urban Xtreme and for all different abilities, beginner to advanced, but be aware, it is a total gym workout!
